be an Aircraft Mechanic
Back when I was in high school
during our review for ‘’NCAE’’ I would always thought to myself of what will be
my course after I graduated high school. Ever since, my father would always
encourage me to take up aviation courses .Then after taking ‘’NCAE’’ I was
surprised of my test result for I was qualified student for the course Aircraft
Maintenance Technology .Days passed by and still my mind haven’t changed
,realizing to myself that I am going to take up Aircraft Maintenance Technology
and be an aircraft mechanic someday .Life is really wonderful because when I
was still young ,my hobbies are fixing mechanical things and I am not afraid of
electricity and high places .I know deep inside me this is what I want ,to be
in the field of aviation .
Aircraft Mechanic a unique job to
have .For me an aircraft mechanic is a very important role because they have the responsibility
taking care or maintaining airplanes ,
fixing troubles ,making certain aircraft flyable based on what field they
specialize .An aircraft mechanic is the one responsible for the complete range
of mechanical components and structure of the aircraft including the engines,
gearboxes, flying controls, landing gear, hydraulics, air conditioning, anti-icing
and fuel systems. Examines, test and repair engines and propulsion equipment on
everything from fast jets to multi-engine aircraft and helicopters. Securing
the aircraft for safe transportation of the lives of the Pilot , passengers and
cargo .These people are well trained and has the ability of doing fine work .In
the field of aviation , a mechanic is a skilled workman having a proper
knowledge of aircrafts . By this job you can show how good you are by the
quality of your work.
Aircraft Mechanics have different
types and fields like Avionics , Aircraft Engineer Technician ,Aircraft
Interior Technician ,Aircraft Maintenance Technician ,Aircraft Composite
Technician .An Aircraft Interior Technician is the one who performs
installation and fabrication work on pieces found within an airplane's
interior. Maintains a variety of tools and typically works with a team and has
the ability to read and interpret engineering documents with strong
communication skills .An Aircraft Composite Technician’s job is to inspect,
evaluates damage, repairs and replaces damaged aircraft components according to
approved engineering data and process requirements using hand and power tools,
as well as specialized equipment and materials. An Aircraft Engineer Technician
troubleshoots aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems to identify
problems and adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical
drawings, manuals and established procedures .Modifies or install aircraft
engines, mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systems .Dismantle
airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and
cleaning, and reassemble. Aircraft maintenance technicians work is to ensure that airplanes and other types of
aircraft are in good shape for flying. Inspects aircraft based on the
requirements in their jurisdictions and of their employers. Often troubleshoot
problems with aircraft in order to learn what is wrong with them and then apply
the required fix, and may perform preventative maintenance as well in order to
prevent problems from happening in the first place. Additionally, an individual
with this title is usually responsible for keeping records of maintenance for each
aircraft. An Avionic Aircraft Technician is responsible for the complete range
of cockpit instrumentation and electronic systems used on aircraft, including
equipment for radar, communication, navigation, weapon aiming and delivery,
flight control, and image and data acquisition systems. Also maintains the
electrical generation and distribution systems on the aircraft.
Studying aircraft maintenance technology is
fun and unique unlike any other courses. In aviation there are many kinds of mechanic and there are two
types of an Aircraft Mechanic I find interesting like Aircraft Interior
technician having a strong communication skills, working with a team on
fabrication pieces found inside the airplanes interior and repairing the damage
inside the airplane . This is where you can show the quality of your work
.Maintaining or securing everything inside the airplane for pilot and the
passengers to feel comfortable while Aircraft Composite technician works on the
composite components of the aircraft, repairing and replacing aircraft damages
on the surface of the aircraft according to approved engineering data. I find
this two interesting for these are the easiest job for me and it is more on
following and should be done according to what is the engineers document.
